Eve Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre’s Extensive Care Facility Opening with the President of the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) and the Board member of World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH), Professor Dato’ Dr Andrew Mohanraj.
We are excited and honoured to announce the opening of our Extensive Care Facility that caters to your psychosocial and psychiatric stabilization and substance addiction detoxification needs at the heart of Petaling Jaya at No 91, Jalan Templer. The opening marks the growth of our psychosocial rehabilitation centre through years of experience and a breakthrough in the nation’s step forward in making mental health more accessible to the public. We hope to serve the public, create awareness and work towards normalizing mental health in Malaysia.
We offer reasonable and flexible packages to cater to those in need, may it be a working-class citizen or student. Instead of taking one approach to tackling mental health, we at Eve’s apply a multidisciplinary and integrated approach working hand in hand with family, counselling psychologist, addiction therapists, psychiatrist and a rehabilitation team consisting of art therapist, music therapist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, medical assistants, assistant counsellors, registered nurses, and caregivers to achieve the goals of psychosocial rehabilitation and reintegration.
When a mental health patient requires care beyond what can be provided at home, Eve Psychosocial Rehabilitation Centre is a home away from home. This was the pursuit of Mary and David, a loving couple, who saw the need for a space that provides a caring and supporting environment that eludes the white walled hospital setting that lacked warmth for those suffering from mental illness, addiction, emotional struggles and/or behavioural difficulties.
Their children, Evelina and Jared then took on the responsibility of expansion and reaching a wider group of people with the centre now serving to those in need of intensive care, stabilization, addiction management, geriatric psychiatric rehabilitation for women, to those seeking affordable retreat psychosocial rehabilitation set within an area of lush greenery of a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood providing an atmosphere of tranquillity and serenity.
