Krisis : Tsunami Dalam Masyarakat
On 26th & 27th March 2019, both our counselors from Eve Caring Centre, Mr. Balasubramaniam and Joyce Hue attended an event organized by the Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia as part of their continuous learning programs. Conferences like these are great ways for our practitioners to stay updated about the latest in the field, to network with other professionals and to improve their skills so they can help clients better.
It was a very informative talk. There were invited speakers from the Counseling Department of Malaysia, from the Jabatan Kebajikan Malaysia as well as from both government and private hospitals. There were talks that covers issues such as depression, addiction, self harm or even how to handle victims of abuse. Thoughout the talk, the speakers did highlight the importance of counselors and the roles we play in assisting to improve the standards of mental health in Malaysia.
Joyce Hue also did a presentation on the ‘Power of The Subconscious Mind’. She shared about hypnotherapy and how it can be of benefit to individuals with issues. Hypnotherapy is a very effective method as it works with the client’s subconscious mind to work past traumas or unfinished businesses. It gets to the root cause of the problem and can solve issues quicker.
