Dr Benedict is a consultant psychiatrist at University Malaya Medical Centre and University Malaya Specialist Centre. Dr. Benedict Francis snagged a Brightsparks scholarship and dove deep into psychological medicine. Dr. Benedict then spread his wings to Melbourne's St Vincent’s Hospital for a fellowship in Aged Healthcare Services. He’s a research dynamo practicing at the University of Malaya Hospital and the University of Malaya Specialist Centre, leading international trials like ESCAPE-TRD, SUSTAIN-3, and rocking peer-reviewed journals. Not just a scientist, he shapes the future of mental health, advising on Esketamine guidelines and aiding patient decisions.

In addition to various accolades and associations Dr. Benedict Francis's humanitarian side is also seen through his dedicated involvement as a member of the Selangor Mental Health Association (SMHA). He actively participates in initiatives that aim to improve mental health accessibility and support for the underprivileged.

He approaches individuals struggling with mental health challenges with compassion and genuine concern. His partnership with Eve Rehab Centre via the SMHA outreach initiative is an example of psychiatry in action as he seeks to improve mental health in a holistic manner.
